Local Districts & Offices

Super Neighborhood 51
Houston's Super Neighborhoods are officially recognized districts where volunteer community organizations facilitate resident input on city planning and serve as bridges between neighborhoods and local government.

Greater Northside Management District​

Management Districts are special government entities created by the state to promote development, commerce, and transportation. They are funded by taxes on commercial properties and provide tangible improvements like landscaping, lighting, and signage, plus supplemental services such as public safety. greaternorthsidedistrict.org
TIRZ 21 Hardy / Near North Side
Houston's TIRZs are funded by capturing tax revenue from property value increases within it's zone. This money is spent on infrastructure improvements like roads, sidewalks, parks, drainage facilities, and other redevelopment projects within the zone.

MD Anderson YMCA
One of the oldest YMCA locations in Houston and central gathering place for Lindale Park

Trees for Houston donates trees to Lindale Park annually during the month of November
