4th of July Parade

For 26 years, the Lindale Park Civic Club has hosted Houston's beloved neighborhood 4th of July Parade. The tradition began in 1999 when then-City Controller Sylvia Garcia (now Senator) and World War II veteran Jesse Reyes Sr. presented the idea to LPCC President Ed Reyes.
What started as a modest procession with a few cars, Fire Station 30, and local participants has grown into a community celebration featuring bagpipers, lowriders, and classic cars from local dealerships. The parade regularly attracts participation from local elected officials, including Houston City Council members, Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia, and our US and Texas state representatives.
This cherished tradition continues to bring our community together every Independence Day, celebrating both our nation and our neighborhood while reflecting our pride and spirit.

National Night Out

Every Fall, the Lindale Park Civic Club joins communities across the nation in celebrating National Night Out at St. Albans Church playground. This annual event brings neighbors together to strengthen community bonds, meet local law enforcement, and build relationships that make our neighborhood safer and more connected. Our celebration features representatives from various neighborhood organizations and local officials who are available to discuss community concerns and initiatives. National Night Out provides a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere where residents can get to know their neighbors, learn about local resources, and demonstrate our collective commitment to creating a strong, united community.

Halloween Trick of Treat

Lindale Park has become one of Houston's premier trick-or-treating destinations, drawing over 1,000 costumed children and families from across the area. Lindale Park has created a reputation that extends well beyond our community boundaries. Residents go all out with decorations and generous candy distributions, transforming our streets into a magical Halloween wonderland that attracts families from throughout the region. Halloween night is one of our community's most celebrated annual events, showcasing the welcoming spirit and family-friendly atmosphere that defines Lindale Park.

Annual Tree Planting Effort

Each November, we partner with Trees for Houston to host our annual free tree giveaway, providing residents with quality shade trees perfectly suited for our Houston climate. This popular community event helps families add beautiful, fast-growing trees to their properties while contributing to our collective goal of creating a greener, more sustainable Lindale Park.
